Being Safe
Our Approach to Safety
Assignment of Responsibilities
First Aid
We prioritize first aid at DD Construction. Each foreman’s vehicle is equipped with a first aid kit for minor cuts or injuries. Our site-specific Emergency Evacuation Plan provides further instructions and resources. Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are also available for chemical-related incidents. Safety is our top priority.
GHS/SDS
DD Construction follows the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) for classifying and labeling chemicals. Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are readily available in our foremen’s work vehicles, ensuring proper understanding and mitigation of potential hazards. We comply with the Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) for effective communication of chemical hazards.
Company Policy
DD Construction is dedicated to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, sub-contractors, and customers. The company shall follow operating practices that will safeguard employees, the public, and company operations.
We believe all accidents are preventable. Therefore, we will make every effort to prevent accidents and comply with all established OSHA – safety and health laws and regulations.
As a field requirement, all superintendents are required to pass the OSHA 10 certification and are in many instances OSHA 30 compliant. For our customer’s information we follow practices listed in the training requirements manual.
